Help Anthony Recover from Brain Surgery
Donation protected
On Wednesday, March 19th, Anthony Yerman had been feeling a little off. He’d had some dizziness and pressure on the side of his head and neck. The doctor gave him some muscle relaxers for his pressure and sent him on his way with a diagnosis of anxiety, telling him to go to the ER if he developed any weakness.
The next day, Thursday, March 20th, he developed weakness on his left side and was having general cognitive issues. After talking to his amazing, loving girlfriend Kelsey, they decided he needed to be seen again.
Anthony headed to urgent care, who directed him to the hospital, where he was accompanied by his dad Tony and girlfriend Kelsey, with Bobbie (his mom) meeting them up there a few hours later.
Realizing his line of work, they ordered an X-ray. They followed that up with an MRI. The news they received is just absolutely what no one ever wants to hear.
“Anthony, you have a GLIOMA.” (In other words, a brain tumor). Anthony will have surgery to remove the tumor on 4/1 at the Cleveland Clinic downtown. It is expected that he will miss at least 4-6 weeks of work for recovery (on top of the week and a half that he and Kelsey have already missed). It is also unsure at this time if he will need further treatment (possible radiation or chemo) after the tumor is removed. Anything that you can give to help alleviate the financial struggle that they will face for being out of work and having medical bills would be greatly appreciated.
