On July 5, Anthony Scotti’s home in Garden Grove, California caught fire from a stray firework. While he was thankfully physically unharmed, his belongings were destroyed and he was displaced indefinitely.
Some of you may know Anthony from the Volkswagen enthusiast and video game restoration communities, or from his 25 years at ISP West in California. He has been a fixture at Bug-In and VW Classic car shows.
While a fire is always devastating, this is especially gutting for Anthony who was working to regain a new normal after his right leg was amputated below the knee in 2023. The operation saved his life but destroyed his livelihood, and now the fire has taken what he owned.
We are extremely grateful for any help that friends, family, and his extended community can provide. All funds will go directly to meeting Anthony’s critical housing needs and helping him start over from scratch.
As if losing your housing, clothes and belongings weren’t enough, the fire destroyed the hours of work Anthony had lovingly put into restoring his collection of vintage video games over the years. These were a source of pride for him and joy at family gatherings, where the younger generation got to experience a piece of digital history.
Thank you for any contribution — I know together we can help Anthony in his hour of need.
