Help Anthony Pinto in his recovery from heart surgery
Donation protected
Anthony's discovery of his health concerns began on July 10th when he sought treatment for what he believed was pneumonia. However, by July 16th, he learned that his condition was far more severe, as he was diagnosed with a bacterial infection called Enterococcus that had spread to his bloodstream, leading to endocarditis, which required a heart valve replacement. As his pneumonia worsened and he remained in ICU, it wasn't until August 4th that he was stable enough for the necessary surgery.
Post-surgery, Anthony faced additional challenges, including the development of two blood clots and sepsis, which slowed his recovery. He was finally discharged from the hospital on August 23rd. Anthony's road to full recovery will be long and challenging.
