Help Anthony Heal After a freak accident
Donation protected
My name is Theresa and I am starting this Go Fund Me to help my best friend Tina and her family through a very difficult time. On March 16th, Tina’s son, Anthony experienced a freak accident and was injured during the extreme storm that came through our area on Sunday.
Anthony was outside cleaning up tree branches that had fallen in the yard due to the high winds over the last few days for his parents. (Anthony’s Dad, JD, has been recovering from ankle surgery after breaking 4 bones after slipping on ice a month before) Before Anthony and his close friend realized there was a tornado warning, it was too late. While trying to get inside under safe cover, Anthony was hit by a falling tree branch that rendered him unconscious and has left him hospitalized in Neurological ICU with multiple traumatic injuries. The injuries sustained in the accident include a bruised skull in the frontal lobe, a severe fracture to his skull from the lower back of his head that extends from behind his right ear to right behind his left ear. There is a minor brain bleed at the back of his skull along the fracture line, he also sustained torn ligaments in his C3-C6 vertebrae, a major concussion and a broken nose.
The doctors are advising that it will take months for Anthony to recover and he will need constant care. That care has yet to be determined as the next few days will give the doctors a better picture of the needs Anthony will have. I am asking for help from family, friends and others that can assist me to ease the financial burden on the family.
The funds raised will be used to help cover medical bills that may not be covered by insurance, and family household bills while Tina and JD are out of work caring for Anthony during his recovery.
I want to say thank you in advance for any support that you may be able to give, whether it be financial, a share on a social media platform or a prayer for a successful recovery.
