Supporting 9-Year-Old Anthony After the Loss of His Father

Our family is heartbroken to share that on November 6th 9-year-old Anthony lost his father in a tragic car accident. His biological dad was the passenger in a vehicle that was t-boned at high speeds during an intense storm on the Hood Canal Bridge. The suddenness of this loss has left everyone who loved him in shock.

Anthony is an incredibly caring and generous child — the kind of kid who’s always the first to lend a hand, share a snack, or look out for someone who needs a friend. His compassion shines in every part of his life, and even now, his first thought has been making sure no one feels pressured to donate, but that his dad’s story is shared.

Anthony’s mom, McKenna is a merchant mariner, spending 6–8 weeks at sea at a time to provide for their family. She was scheduled to leave for her next hitch this Monday, but due to the accident and their family’s loss, she’s unable to return to work right now. Her Finance Tanner is doing everything he can to keep life as stable as possible during this unexpected and challenging time of unimaginable loss but they need help. McKennas job is the primary source of income for their family and this unexpected tragedy has created a heavy financial strain — especially as we move into the holiday season. Our family is pulling together to help lighten that burden so she can focus on grieving, healing, and being there for Anthony.

Funds raised will go directly toward helping with essentials such as food, household needs, and living expenses while they navigate this difficult time.
