We're posting this GoFundMe to help an amazing member of the ONSCENE.TV Team that has helped report on breaking stories for years in Southern California. He is known throughout the community for his professionalism, as well as always stopping to help at crashes or picking up hoses to help protect houses during brush fires.
Anthony was covering the Lilac Fire in North San Diego County when his vehicle got stuck in a ditch. Instead of focusing all of his time getting his car out, Anthony continued to update 911 with addresses and locations of homes on fire. As he went back to trying to get his car out, the fire quickly advanced on his position and he had to run to escape the flames, leaving his car and equipment behind. Thankfully, Anthony escaped with no injuries, but his car and equipment are a total loss.
We are hoping to raise $10,000 to help Anthony get back on his feet. His passion is breaking news and we want him to get back to it as quickly as possible. While it won't cover all of his costs, we know he would be grateful for anything he receives and it would go a long way towards getting him back to doing what he loves.
