Help Anthony Fight Severe Diverticulitis

On Thursday, February 6th I took my husband Anthony to the emergency room for suspected appendicitis, however it turned out to be an acute case of Diverticulitis. He was admitted to the hospital that day and put on IV antibiotics. Things were going well, and we even thought he would be coming home on Saturday evening. Unfortunately things took a turn for the worse, and we discovered he had developed a micro-perforation in one of the diverticula. After a few days on double antibiotics, and barely being able to manage the severe pain he was experiencing they decided to run another CT Scan, and it was revealed that he had developed abscesses in his perineal cavity which require a specialized surgeon, as well as special equipment that our rural hospital does not have. So, Anthony was care flighted over to Reno to receive the medical care he needs on Tuesday, February 11th. Once in Reno he was rushed into emergency surgery, and is now in the ICU on a ventilator. He was getting septic and had a difficult time tolerating the surgery, which is beyond scary. He will be having another surgery in the coming days once he remains stable. At this time, there is no ETA on when he will get to return home, or to work. Anthony is the sole income provider for our family; this prolonged hospital stay, care flight, and the long recovery period projected after returning home is not something that we can financially recover from. I know so many of you helped us before when I had my surgery at Stanford, and we are humbly asking for your help again. Thank you everyone for your love, and support.
