Little about Anthony, he is 14 and just started his freshman year at Pinkerton HS. He is a positive, sensitive, brilliant young man who loves his family, friends, and Boston sports teams. The Red Sox and Mookie Betts are at the top of his list, though he can talk Celtics, Bruins and Pats if that’s your game. Anthony is also a Boy Scout and enjoys helping others when he can.
Back on 3/13/18 Anthony, 13 at the time, became very ill and was rushed to Children’s Hospital where they found a tumor blocking the fluid from circulating from his spine to his brain. Anthony underwent 3 surgeries, the surgeon was only able to remove 2/3rds of the tumor. After the test results came back, they found that he had a very aggressive mutation of brain cancer. The doctors recommended radiation and we traveled to Brigham and Women’s 5 days a week for 6 ½ weeks, he woke every morning and was out the door at 5a.m. He greeted everyone with a smile and never complained.
Unfortunately radiation was not successful, the tumor spread down through his audio canal and in parts of his spine. Now 14, he is currently undergoing immune system therapy at Dana Farber and chemo is in the very near future.
Please continue to keep Anthony in your prayers at night and know that as a family we feel truly blessed to have so much love and support, there just are not enough words to cover just how thankful we are to have your help.
