Help Anthony Bonanno BEAT Cancer

Dear Family & Friends,

My name is Pastor Mohanan (Moh) Unni, Senior Pastor at the Shepherd’s House in Woburn, MA (www.tshmin.org). I am asking for your help through this GoFundMe Page for our friend and brother, Anthony Bonanno.

Here is a short account of what has occurred in Anthony’s life since 11/28/2022… After going to the hospital ER on 11/28 with complications from Bronchitis, doctors discovered a large, near football-sized abdominal growth in Anthony. Shortly thereafter it was diagnosed as “Retroperitoneal well-differentiated Liposarcoma.” Liposarcoma is a malignant tumor and a rare type of cancer that develops in fat tissue.

The most common treatment is surgical removal of the tumor often followed by chemotherapy and/or radiation. This can be a very delicate and difficult process, especially when the tumor is close to vital organs. In Anthony’s case, the tumor has pushed his intestines and kidney to one side. Doctors are still unsure if the kidney needs to be removed as well.

Well-differentiated liposarcoma located in the abdomen is a more threatening cancerous tumor. It grows more slowly but, tends to regrow after initial treatment and local control is an issue. It can potentially progress to a life-threatening disease. A Liposarcoma tumor is usually painless until it gets large enough to push against the stomach and other organs.

It has been causing extreme fatigue, dull back aches and shortness of breath for Anthony. He is starting his treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas.

During this difficult time where work becomes a secondary priority, we are hoping to ease the financial burden for Anthony’s family so they can spend as much time together as possible as Anthony continues the good fight of faith and healing.

I started this GoFundMe to help Anthony and his family with

• Living expenses to cover Anthony’s bills while he is out of work during treatment, post-removal of the tumor, and recovery
