My name is Anthony, and I am writing this with a heavy heart because I have to ask for help to keep a roof over my head. Like many of you, I have worked hard my entire life. Over the past year, I’ve been unemployed and despite my best efforts, unable to secure a new position. The job market has been incredibly tough, and my savings have completely run out. Because of this gap in income, I have fallen behind on my rent. I am now facing an eviction that is scheduled for the week of March 23, 2026. I am desperately trying to avoid being put out on the street.

This situation has taken a huge toll on my mental and physical health. I struggle with ADHD and depression, and the stress of not knowing where I’ll live has made things even harder. I’m doing everything I can to get back on my feet, and I know that with a little help, I can make it through this tough time. Once my benefits start, I’ll be able to cover my expenses for the next six months, giving me the breathing room I need to continue my job search and rebuild.

I am not asking for a handout to live a life of luxury. I am asking for a bridge to get me from this crisis point to the moment my benefits start so I can stand on my own two feet again. Any amount you can spare—goes directly toward keeping my apartment and giving me the stability I need to find work.
