Help Anthony and Jessica Build Jackalope Slopes

This is my husband Anthony, and I'm Jessica! The beginning of our time together started in 2019. As our love grew bigger and bigger, so did our projects. Many of you have watched as I have tormented this wonderful man with shenanigan after shenanigan. They started out small and after our wedding I told him bigger projects were coming, and he said I dare you. Well… here we go. After creating nearly all the decor for our wedding we bought an all original 1963 brick rambler. With this being the first house Anthony has ever owned, I thought we’d go big. REAL BIG. We tore out the carpet and found fabulous floors, cleaned the walls and ceilings from smoke damage, built a fireplace facade, remodeled the kitchen, tore out the bathroom and reinstalled it in 4 days (we were plenty stinky by then), and remodeled the half bath in the kid’s room. As if that weren’t enough, one day we decided to tear out a wall and make our master bedroom twice as big, giving us a walk-in closet and room for a future bathroom. We built a chicken coop and built a deck and put in some rocks and lighting in the backyard. Then, instead of taking a breather, I took on a 6 piece art installation for an event. Anthony and I worked well into the night for two months bringing the pieces to life! So much priming, painting, and cutting. Then, we took a break! Just kidding! Over the winter we installed some garage organization and made the basement a livable space instead of a catch all from moving in a couple years prior. Then you know what happened. Spring. Yep. That meant we obviously needed a second chicken coop to keep our girls entertained. And since we were at it, we threw in a greenhouse because why not? We used recycled windows from the ReStore and created the best space on the property. This year we grew our plant starts in it and decided we needed a ginormous garden to go with it complete with tunnels and vertical growing spaces! Little did we know, the grasshoppers would be the ever pending doom of the season for most gardens, but we’ve been lucky and gotten some veggies. All this time, the shenanigans seem to be getting bigger and bigger and we have been planning our largest project yet and now we need your help to make it happen! We’ve gone to the bank and asked for the funds to start the small business we’ve been scheming about for the last TWO years. All in, the nice bank dude said on top of the funds we have already, that we need to raise about $400,000 to make us eligible for the loan. We want to make a space where families can come and relax in a cabin in a resort that is completely focused on art and the impact it has on our souls! We want to create a space near a national park that you can visit, but we don’t want the stay to be the last thing you remember! We want it to be as much, if not more of the experience you had during your vacation as the majestic views you’ll see in the park. Allow us to introduce you to Jackalope Slopes. Please donate and help us make this vision come true. In the future we plan to grow the business and make this an arts destination with visiting artists and retreats! So! We are going to keep working toward that $400,000 goal and we hope you are able to donate and share. We will be so grateful for anything you are able to give as it gets us so much closer to making this space where we can all escape the ordinary and spend time with our families, our significant others, or even just ourselves because sometimes we all need a break! We hope to do this as soon as possible and more than anything, we hope when we make it happen, we will see you all there enjoying yourselves.
