Help Anthony and Fam Fight against Cancer

Hello friends and Family, I’m Kelsey and I put together this GoFundMe to help my Aunt Angela and Uncle Anthony Hampton and their kids during recent news that Anthony is now fighting a cancer battle.

I’m hoping to receive help for the entire family while Anthony is undergoing treatment and no longer able to work as the soul provider for the family. With 4 kids (2 with disabilities) and Angie’s mom living in the house, they will need as much support as possible during this difficult time in their lives.

Here is a recent update about Anthony from Angie:

“Anthony has not felt well for the past year.

In January of this year, Anthony had sudden abdominal pain which sent him to the emergency. He had a CT scan done and they found a small bowel obstruction as well as multiple enlarged lymph nodes in the mesenteric (abdomen). Once obstruction was healed, the doctor wanted him to follow up with a surgical oncologist to look further into the enlarged lymph nodes in the mesenteric area.

The surgical oncologist ordered more testing and noticed the lymph nodes were getting larger and there was suspicious cell activity. We were referred to a hematologist oncologist specialist out in Loma Linda. This doctor ordered more biopsies and PET scans. After weeks of tests, on April 30th he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Follicular Lymphoma that has spread through multiple parts of the body and has gone into the bone marrow.

Because of the bone marrow being affected, he is not producing white blood cells which means he is not able to fight off the infections. He had to start chemotherapy and immunotherapy right away. And because the cancer is in his bone, the side effects from the chemotherapy is excruciatingly painful.

They can’t do radiation because of where the cancer is located. He is also getting IV treatments for hydration twice a week because his kidneys are being affected from all the sedation.

To add to all of this, he's been seeing a urologist and the urologist is thinks he may have prostate cancer as well. The next thing is getting a prostate biopsy”.
