Help Anrai get top surgery!
Donation protected
Every day, Anrai uses a binder to be able to present to the world in a way that feels safe. He loves to walk around taking photographs and run for exercise and enjoyment, but doesn't do it often because wearing a binder and running isn't a great combination. Not binding makes him more likely to get misgendered, which negatively impacts his mental health and wellbeing.
In the last few years, he's had to pay several thousand dollars in medical costs to be eligible to access better support for his only recently diagnosed autism and ADHD, and only due to these supports has he been able to work consistently in the last two years, with sporadic and casual work up until then making saving money impossible. Full time work has previously been physically and mentally unsustainable until his recent supports and current supportive workplace. He had planned to save up for the next 18 months to get top surgery and be free of the binder for good, but as luck would have it an opening has come up to get top surgery in October this year. This is much sooner than expected, and with out-of-pocket costs in excess of $15,000, he needs a little help to get over the line.
Any contribution you're able to make (even $1!) will go a long way to helping him feel like himself without needing to bind every day. He'll be using what little super he's been able to accrue so far to make up the rest of the money, so anything above the goal will mean he can keep some of that and not be starting from zero again.
