My name is Vincent Kwarula. I am a coach, teacher, director and a philanthropist. For eight years I was able to play professional soccer for the Kenyan National team, and one of the best soccer clubs in Kenya, Kenya Breweries. Years later, I was blessed with the opportunity to give back to my family and community that supported me as I ascended and played soccer at a professional level. After my time on the Kenyan National team, I moved to the United States on an athletic scholarship. After several years of hard work, I was finally able to give back to the community in a meaningful way. In 2011, I founded The Kwarula Society of Kenyan Education, a non-profit organization dedicated “to providing educational opportunities and financial support for children in Kenya.” Since its launch, I have been able to help over 1000 children.
In 2021, while visiting relatives in Kenya, I met a woman on the street named Ann. I found her sleeping on the sidewalk with three young children. After a short conversation with her about her circumstances, I offered to buy some food for her and her three children. Through further conversation, I began to realize the severity of her situation. The more I learned about how she ended up on the streets, the clearer it became that the best way to help was to support her family in getting off the street. Since then, for the past five years, I have been paying for her rent, her children’s school fees, uniforms, medical and food.

On December 28, 2025, I had the opportunity to meet Ann and her five children again after several years. It was an incredibly meaningful moment to say the least. It is now that I am coming to you all and asking for your help. Ann’s family truly needs our support. Your assistance can help ensure they do not return to the streets of Nairobi, Kenya, by covering their rent, medical and the children’s school fees. The donation will help Ann start a business and be independent to support her family.
