Help Annika and Sully Focus on Baby Leo's Care

How did we get here? Where do we start? How do we help?

These are the questions we always think about when the ones we love are needing us. Annika and Sully and baby Leo are the ones we love and the ones needing us now.

How we got here? 10 weeks ago sweet baby Leo was born and since then it has been a beyond confusing situation to navigate. He has had an extremely hard time gaining weight and taking a bottle. Annika and Sully have gotten Leo to Denver Children's Hospital and he has a wonderful team of doctors and nurses who are fully there to support both baby and parents. As all the tests start this week, they will be continuing to stay in Denver and while we really aren't sure the path of this all, we do know it is going to be a long road for them.

Where do we start and how do we help? Financial stress is the last thing they need right now and to help with this burden, we all need to jump in and support however we possibly can. No matter how wonderful the insurance, there are always more and more bills and things that will be needed. Annika and Sully need to be focused on whatever Leo needs and if that means not working and staying in Denver, then so be it.

On top of all of this, Annika and Sully planned to be married this weekend (10/5) and will be spending their wedding weekend in Denver. We have worked with all the wonderful local vendors and all have happily agreed to postpone everything until they are ready, which we are so grateful for.

None of this is easy and all of it is heartbreaking. These are two of the greatest humans, truly. They bend over backwards for everyone all the time and always have a smile on their faces doing it. We all know the "Sully high five".... it's impossible not to smile when he walks in a room and you can't help but laugh when you hear Annika laugh and to watch her whole face smile puts you on another planet.
