Help Annie Walk Again: Surgery Fund

Meet Annie. Annie is a beautiful hen who was found on the side of a busy Chicago street by an animal lover and concerned good samaritan. Annie was found with a badly broken leg and is in need of surgery that will help her live the rest of her life as a healthy and happy hen. We don't know why Annie was abandoned, but we do know she wants to live. She is a good eater, curious, and very sweet. Our amazing vets feel confident they can perform the surgery that Annie needs and have given us a quote of $950-1350 just for the surgery. This doesn't include the pre-op exams and potential complications we may face after surgery.

Rescues are stretched thin, resources are low, and we are working so hard to save as many of our friends that we can. Please help us save Annie. Every dollar helps.

Chicago Roo Crew is a 100% volunteer grassroots rooster focused rescue. We are a network of rescuers, foster homes, transporters and microsanctuaries. We do direct rescue of dumped birds on Chicago's streets, work closely with animal shelters and provide free community outreach, education and support on chicken care. We advocate for care in accordance with the standards of the Illinois Humane Care for Animals Act, and even further, in accordance with the specialized care standards that we believe these special birds deserve.
