Annie is 26, she has Spina Bifida and uses a wheelchair full time. Without it she cannot move from room to room let alone go on the rambles and adventures she loves. Her current wheelchair is 10 years old. It is the wrong size, it causes her excruciating daily pain and rattles(which embarrassingly announces her arrival wherever she goes). It is a mis-match of several older wheelchairs and is prohibitively wide and heavy. The NHS wheelchairs are not designed for independent living so this isn’t an option.

Annie is not the kind of person to ask for help, in fact she is mortified that I am setting this up. She is fiercely independent and the kind of girl you want on your side in any situation. She just wants a wheelchair that fits her and allows her to live her life quietly and without drama.
