Hi - I started this fundraiser for my sister, Ann. Ann has been a private home health care provider most of her adult life caring for those with Alzheimer's, MS, ALS, and those at end of life. She loves her work and is the most caring person I know. Sadly, she had to stop working. In April, Ann had to have open heart surgery to fix a rare valve issue with no known cause. Two days before that surgery, she learned she had a rare form of breast cancer that will require additional surgery, plus many months of strenuous treatments. We're not sure when Ann can resume work caring for her patients.

While we recently learned that her insurance won't cover some medical bills, our immediate concern is the monthly expenses. At this time, we take it one day at a time and hope for the best.
