Annie is married to Adam, and they have two kids, Everett and Emerson. Their days are full of normal to-dos like taking care of two kids two and under, working, and being involved in their community. However, nothing about their lives has really been "normal" for over a decade.

For newcomers to their family: Annie has suffered for 13 years with debilitating conditions. Namely all beginning with a condition called gastroparesis which led to colon prolapse, extreme nerve pain keeping her from sitting, standing comfortably, driving, sleeping, and being able to be present. Along the way up until this point there has been a journey of surgeries, injections, being bedridden for 6 years, many incapabilities, heart conditions, mental health, and much more. Most of her weeks are filled with pain management, doctor's appointments, and treatment.

In October, their story took a turn for the worse with a cancer diagnosis. Since then, Annie had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor - grade 3 - that was around 4 pounds, and required her to stay in the hospital a week to begin major surgery recovery. Following her 8 week home recovery, Annie is currently undergoing extensive care and will pursue a recommended and rigorous treatment plan. The finances provided will be used for tumor markers, variety of imaging, treatment, infusions, and childcare so she can attend these appointments since she is normally at home with the boys — she is also following an intense diet with numerous supplements and protocols that help to ensure her entire system is no longer hospitable to cancerous growth.

If you know Annie and Adam, then you know what it is like to be loved. They are the type of people that really show up, time and time again. They are the ones that show up with the right type of support at the right time. They're the ones you call when you are needing a shoulder to cry on. Annie and Adam are living out what it means to love - each of their family members, friends and neighbors. All with a sacrificial kind of love. And now, it is time for us to do the same for them.

God continues to provide in many ways for Annie and her family during this time, and one of the ways God provides for His children is through His other children. This is an opportunity for all of us to be the hands and feet of Jesus and contribute where we are able to Annie's journey.
