Hello, my name is Annie Altman. My father, Jerry Altman, lived from October 4, 1950 until May 25, 2018. He loved sports, music, thrift shopping, and seeing his loved ones happy. I often wished and asked for him to be retired, especially due to his known heart conditions. Instead he died at age 67, while working more than overtime hours, including overnight road trips between St. Louis and Kansas City. It's time for the truth.

After my Dad’s death in 2018, his assets were supposed to fund a trust for my benefit. Instead, my mother Connie Gibstine and my older siblings Sam Altman, Max Altman, Jack Altman did nothing to fulfill his wishes and hid the existence of the trust from me. My Dad's will was also withheld from me for over a year after his death, and I was prompted to finally get access only because of being notified about being the primary beneficiary of my Dad's 401K. Said 401K was also withheld from me, after I had quit a service job the summer of 2019, while in the paperwork process about being said primary beneficiary of my Dad's 401K. I was working the service job after noping off the medical school path, and figuring how to fit my love of scientific research with my love of art, working on music, stand up comedy, my podcast All Humans Are Human, and more. When notified by the company about my Dad’s 401K, while sitting at the reception desk because I could no longer do the standing shifts, I was both relieved for the help and shocked that information about my Dad would be hidden from me. This lead me in pursuit of more data.

In the beginning of 2020 I did two family therapy sessions with the people withholding my inheritance from me, dishonoring Dad's wishes. I sat in my therapist’s office, in my walking boot and hormonal sweat, with my oldest sibling there in person holding his phone with our mother on FaceTime. The woman who bore me told the therapist that it would be “best for Annie’s mental health if she fully financially supported herself,” (... instead of getting my inheritance as my Dad intended for me) and my multi-millionaire eldest sibling Sam Altman agreed.

In May 2020 I moved back to the Big Island of Hawai’i, where I had lived before living in LA. This was my plan Y — find a low-labor work trade. I had begun survival sex work and wanted to avoid more. Spoiler alert - I didn't.

In this same time, my eldest sibling Sam Altman offered to send me a diamond he had made of our Dad's ashes. While work-trading on a rural farm, my oldest sibling messaged me asking where to send my diamond made from our Father’s ashes. My Father never asked to become a diamond. I never sent my sibling the farm address. The mailbox was open, in a cluster of mailboxes in the middle of nowhere on the island. Plus, the most financially reasonable thing for me to have done with a diamond at that point was to pawn it for food money — and my eldest multi-millionaire sibling Sam Altman was aware. I decided to go full no contact with my relatives.

In the time without the support my Dad intended for me, I was homeless for more than three years, began survival sex work, and managed Elhers-Danlos Syndrome (a genetic connective tissue disorder), PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), and more.

In 2024, St. Louis attorney Mike Gras helped show that the Trust did exist and I now receive monthly payments for my basic needs. These payments, that my Father intended for me to have after his death in 2018, allowed me to: finally have stable housing again after a 2021 home invasion, slowly stop the sex work I had begun for survival, and finally get major ankle surgery after seven straight years (and 12 years since the first walking boot) of pain. I am sharing this from my fourth week of recovery from said ankle surgery, where scar and other tissues were removed and an internal support was attached to my bones.

The Trust is currently being managed by Parkside Financial Bank & Trust in St. Louis. I have not received all of the information I am entitled to about the assets in the trust, especially concerning my sibling Sam Altman's company Hydrazine. I am still confused how Hydrazine is connected with my Father's trust. It has been two tax seasons and still Parkside has not obtained Hydrazine's records. Hydrazine is a company founded by my eldest sibling Sam Altman, and my other siblings Max Altman and Jack Altman have been employees of Hydrazine, all of whom I went no contact with in 2020.

According to the publicly filed petition in the case, "24. Upon information and belief, Hydrazine own shares of OpenAI, a company founded by Sam Altman."

I was fired by previous counsel after my insistence that the trust needed the full information about Hydrazine. I have since found new counsel! The court denied my request for the trust to cover my legal fees, so here I am.
