Hi, my name is April, and I’m reaching out for help for my sister Annie, who is facing the most terrifying battle of her life.
Over the past year, Annie’s life has been upended in ways no one should ever have to experience. She was diagnosed with aggressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS) after struggling with vision problems and strange neurological symptoms. Since then, her disease has moved at a frightening pace, bringing relapses, new brain lesions, and numbness that spreads across the right side of her body. Each flare leaves her physically weaker, emotionally drained, and wondering what new challenges tomorrow will bring.
Her most recent relapse left her unable to walk without support, relying on loved ones for the simplest movements, and she spent time in the hospital fighting to regain control of her body. She endures steroid infusions, plasma exchange, and monthly treatments that cost thousands of dollars each month, just to maintain her health — a constant financial and emotional weight she carries along with the unpredictable toll of MS.
Despite all of this, Annie is preparing for a clinical trial that could slow or stop her disease, a small but precious hope for her mobility and future. But the treatment involves chemotherapy that could permanently end her fertility.
Annie already has a son, and the thought that she might never give him a sibling is devastating. Her doctors strongly recommend freezing her eggs before starting treatment, but the process is extremely expensive — $15,000–$25,000 per cycle, plus storage — and insurance rarely covers it.
Every day, Annie faces impossible choices: fight for her health, protect her mobility, and hold onto the possibility of continuing her family. She is strong beyond words, but she cannot do this alone.
Your support — through donations or sharing — can help preserve her chance at giving her son a sibling, while also allowing her to fight MS and contribute to research that could help others facing this devastating disease.
Please help my sister hold onto hope, stay strong, and keep the possibility of family alive. Every gift, every share, means the world
