Help Annie & Bubba Stay Safe

I am looking to help my friends Annie Roberts-Denniston and Wade Denniston raise money to obtain a lawyer to fight for sole custody of Annie’s son and Wade’s step-son, Colten (aka Bubba).
Colten’s biological father took Annie to court back in the summer over visitation rights and Wade exhausted all his means to hire a lawyer in their defense. What was agreed upon during that session was that Colten could see his biological father if he was living in a suitable household. The biological father knew this, but did nothing to make sure that happened. He moved in with his mom, who was living in Section 8 Housing, which is not suitable for a 6-year-old.
The biological father was told he needed to find a place of his own, but has refused to do so. The biological father was also told by the judge that he was capable of working and needed to start paying his $10,000 in back child support to help care for Colten. Again, he refuses to get a job. He does not have a phone or a car, but continues to harass Annie and Wade about visitation rights. On multiple occasions he has asked Annie and Wade to borrow money so he can stay with a Colten in a hotel.
The biological father has filed another motion for violation of visitation rights and the court date is for the end of November. However, he still does not have a suitable place to live or a job, and his mother was evicted from her Section 8 Housing because the biological father refused to leave.
Both the biological father and his mother have left numerous voice messages on Annie’s phone accusing her and Wade of brainwashing Colten because he refuses to call his biological father “dad.” Instead, he calls Wade “dad,” which is a choice he made when he was a toddler because Wade has been around since before he was two. Wade is the one who has helped raise Colten since he was just a toddler, while his biological father has been in and out of jobs.
When Annie and Wade have let Colten go see his biological father in Salt Lake City, he has to sleep in the same bed as his biological father, while his grandmother sleeps on the lounge chair. Colten has complained at times that all he’s eaten while he’s been down there are snacks from the vending machine. Recently, the biological father showed up at Wade and Annie’s house and Colten answered the door. When he saw who it was, he ran downstairs and hid because he didn’t want to go with his biological father or grandmother.
Colten’s biological father is very manipulative and a bully. He thinks he is above the law. While Wade works two full-time jobs and sometimes a third part-time job to make sure his entire family is taken care of, Colten’s biological father refuses to get a job or help out in any way.
Annie and Wade have absolutely no funding to hire a lawyer that will help make sure Colten doesn’t have to be subjected to a place where he doesn’t even have his own bedroom with a bed in it, and where he has to eat dinner from a vending machine. That is why I am asking for any help you can give. This is a time-sensitive issue as Annie must appear back in court at the end of this month.
