Help Annie beat Ovarian Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jean Newman and I'm asking for your support to help a wonderful young person overcome a grave threat to her life.
From her home in Atherton Qld, Anfriel (Annie to her friends) visited her family in the Phillippines in December. While there she was diagnosed with ovarian cysts and doctors were forced to perform a radical hysterectomy. Subsequent tests have revealed that the tissue is malignant
Annie is an Australian resident who came to Australia in 2021 to assist with the shortage of qualified Occupational Therapists in regional Australia. She is an asset to her employers and the people of the Atherton Tablelands and works tirelessly with Australian children and their parents. She lived frugally in my home in order to be able to send funds to her extended family. Due to the pandemic she had not been able to visit family until last Christmas. Unfortunately. the Phillippines does not have the same health system as Australia and over the past weeks Annie has used all of her savings ($10,000+) to pay for operations and medications.
Annie needs our help to return to Australia to continue to receive Oncology treatment under Medicare and begin the path to a return to work. Please give whatever you can to help her. We anticipate that Annie will need to be accompanied by her mother who will assist with her care temporarily. She will also need funds to provide for living costs while she is not working.
CANCER MAY HAVE ROBBED ANNIE OF HER ABILITY TO BEAR CHILDREN, BUT LET'S MAKE SURE IT DOES NOT ROB HER OF HER LIFE OR HER CAPACITY TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE COMMUNITY IN FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND.
Please give whatever you can as every dollar counts. If you can't afford to give, please share this GoFundMe campaign on social media. Thank you, Jean.
