Hi, dear friends and family.
As many of you know, my sister Annie and her husband Nikolai, like so many others, have lost their home and jobs in the wake of Hurricane Helene in Asheville, NC. During the height of the storm they had large trees fall on their home, crushing the roof and leaving the house with extreme water damage and the loss of many of their belongings. The house is no longer livable due to the extensive damage. Annie also worked full-time at a furniture warehouse in the vibrant River Arts District, which is now completely washed away from the flooding. Sadly, she will not be able to return to work as the building has completely collapsed.
Despite their own losses, Annie and Nikolai have been actively involved in helping their community recover—cooking meals at World Central Kitchen and supporting others who are struggling to rebuild. Many people in Asheville are hurting right now, and we know that countless families need help.
If you’re in a position to donate, please direct it to life-saving initiatives first.
If you have the ability to help further, please consider donating just a small amount to support Annie and Nikolai as they work to rebuild their lives. They plan to donate any money beyond their immediate needs to nonprofits in WNC.
Any help you can offer would mean the world to them as they begin to put the pieces back together. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Sending so much love to all.
