On 5/5 my mom tripped on the end of her pickup truck and fell doing major damage to her right leg,  directly below her knee.  She fractured it in two places and some pieces are shattered.  On 5/11 she had major leg surgery, receiving two plates and a bunch of hardware.  She will be in inpatient therapy for a minimum of 3 months and then in regular therapy for 6-8 months.  She will be unable to work,  unable to earn her normal $1000 per month that she was part-time.  Her medical deductible alone is $3300.
