I was recently hospitalized on July 14, 2025 due to severe stomach cramping. I went to the ER on a Monday with excruciating abdominal pain and a fever. Lab work and a CT scan indicated that I had Pancreatic cholecystitis. The surgeon stated that my white blood count and my pancreatic levels were too high for him to operate immediately. Apparently the best way to treat this is with no food or water until my numbers came down. So for the remainder of Monday, all of Tuesday and Wednesday, I was only able to have a mouth swab so my lips wouldn’t dry up. The doctor ordered an ultrasound on Wednesday and they saw a lot of gall stones. Thankfully, my numbers came down enough by Wednesday that they were able to schedule my surgery for Thursday. My blood pressure was low and they had a hard time waking me up, but overall the surgery was a success. Fortunately I was discharged on Friday. I am asking for your help because I do not have any medical insurance for the week I was in the hospital. I am so grateful for anything you can do to help. Every little bit matters. Many thanks!
