It is with a very heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved mother-in-law. On August 8, she underwent surgery following severe complications from a recent stroke. She developed deep vein thrombosis, became extremely anxious, and eventually suffered bleeding in her brain. Despite the doctors’ best efforts, her body could no longer endure, and she passed away last Friday.

Our family is grieving deeply, and at the same time, carrying heavy financial burdens. The hospital bills reached approximately ₱465,000, and we still remain in debt of about ₱250,000 plus. Because our home in Oriental Mindoro was badly damaged by the recent flooding — with destroyed appliances, furniture, and even our power connection — we were unable to hold her wake at home. Instead, we had to bring her to her sister’s house, while our own roof and power supply are still under repair.

We are doing everything we can to work hard and survive through this, but it has not been easy. Most of our relatives also cannot extend help, as they too were affected by the flood and are struggling with their own families and responsibilities.

In this time of great loss and hardship, we humbly ask for your prayers and any support you may be able to give. Your kindness and generosity will help us settle our debts, recover from the damages, and slowly start over again.
