Help Anneke and Juniper Rebuild After Fire

Hello family and friends. In November 2024, while my three year old daughter and I were at the grocery store, a fire started in our kitchen. When the firefighters put the fire out, they had to knock down a large portion of the ceiling to make sure there were no flames in it. Unfortunately, that spread asbestos throughout our entire apartment. The combination of toxic fumes from the fire and the toxic asbestos means that 99% of our belongings are being thrown away and we haven't been able to live there.

Juniper and I are staying at a hotel near my parents house and her daycare. I was able to pay the $2,100 for the first month, and now I need some help paying $18,000 for the 2nd month.

Beyond having a roof over our head, we are starting from square one. Whatever money is left after I pay for the hotel costs will be used to replace the furniture, kitchen appliances, clothing, toys and books that we lost.

We are very grateful to everyone who has stepped up to help us get food and into the hotel to start. Now that the remediation company has confirmed they have to dispose of 99% of everything I owned, and that it will be at least 3 weeks before they are done gutting the place, I feel that now is time to ask for more help.
