Despite these losses, Anne has tried to stay strong, but the weight of depression and her severe scoliosis—making her almost crippled—has made each day a struggle. I’ve been helping her as much as I can, but her needs have grown, and she’s now working to get disability assistance, something she never wanted to rely on but now must consider as her health declines.

This Christmas, my wish is simple: for Anne to be able to see her little granddaughter, her daughters, and her brother, who is on hospice after being diagnosed with four different cancers just two months ago. He lives about 20 miles away, and it’s hard for Anne to get to him. With her health and financial situation, even small things like travel and basic necessities are out of reach. I want to give Anne the chance to be with her family one last time before her brother passes, and to bring a little hope and comfort into her life during this difficult season.
