Our dear friend Anne Jewett has been recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.
Anne was admitted to the hospital on November 9th, 2018 and received her Multiple Myeloma diagnosis on November 14th, 2018. Her chemotherapy treatments were aggressively started shortly after the diagnosis. The doctors state she is already in Stage 3. This is a rare diagnosis for a person who is 42 years old.
We would like to help her out by easing the cost of the expensive cancer treatments since she didn’t have insurance at the time she was admitted to the hospital. Currently she is going through Dialysis three times a week along with Plasma Apheresis, Chemotherapy and daily lab work.
Anne’s symptoms were nothing out of the ordinary for a hard-working individual who was passionate about her management job at Ricks's Picks and other extra-curricular activities and spending time with her friends. She began to feel tired and worn down after a long day at work and sometimes nap in her car before she drove home. She would walk on Wednesday mornings with a good friend, but after a about a mile or so she really began to feel pain and discomfort all over.
Anne's a very humble person who always looks out for the best interest of others while placing the needs of her own on the back burner. She would give you the shirt off her back if it would somehow make your life easier.
We started this page to assist her with the mounting healthcare costs, monthly rent, and assisting with flying her parents here to California from Florida along with their hotel stay and transportation costs.
