Help Anne Finch's Medical Journey
Donation protected
I have known Matt and Emily for quite some time! They are both Southeast Polk grads and have two children currently at Southeast Polk. Matt and I went to the same elementary and rode the same bus, so we go waaay back. Emily and I did not know each other well in high school but did know of each other. Then I got the pleasure of working with her at Veranda Dentistry, where we became friends. Emily and I share a lot in common, being the only children, and our husbands are/were in the military and both have been deployed, so we held the fort down at home. Although they were deployed at different times, we had great conversations on how to get through these days or how hard it was. Well, this last year Matt returned home from his deployment safe and sound, but now Emily’s mother is overseas fighting for her life.
Emily Burke’s mom (Anne Finch) is in the ICU on life support at a hospital in Australia after suffering an aneurysm, then suffered a heart attack while headed into surgery. Emily got there after 30 hours of travel and got to see her mom, whom she thought she was probably going to have to say goodbye to, but the Lord has his hands in this one, and Anne has been improving and defying all odds she was given!!!! Still not out of the woods yet! They will be looking at having to pay for her medical care in Australia out of pocket, and on top of that, the medical evacuation transport is going to be a huge expense as well.
Asking for money is a tough thing to do for a lot of people, and this is no different. If you find that there is a tug on your heartstrings to help this family out financially, the Burke and Finch family would be forever grateful. Your money will go directly to Anne Finch’s account and go towards all her medical expenses, which is going to be very expensive until she gets back to the States.
Please continue to pray for this family as God has orchestrated a lot of things to work out and for Anne to still be with us today. There is still a lot to get through, but God has his timing for everything, and we will leave it in his hands! Thank you to everyone who has prayed, if you choose to donate, or people that have volunteered to help provide food for Emily Burke’s immediate family that is here still getting to all sports things, school, and work!
