Help Anna's Miracle Baby (“Niko”) Dominik Fight NEC and keep

Donation protected
This is for my daughter Anna and her newborn son Dominik (NIKO) …. Anna was told at 16 she couldn’t have a baby due to PCOS and then later she developed Thyroid cancer making her chances even harder ( next to impossible) so at 36 when she wasn’t feeling well and her blood pressure skyrocketed out of control for moths on end and the drs couldn’t figure out why, you can imagine her surprise on Feb 14th to be told she was 27 weeks pregnant!!! After being released from the hospital with meds to control her bp she now has to process that in 3 months her lifelong dream of becoming a mom is gonna be real! She returned to work but 3 days later was back at the hospital and now they told her she’s bed ridden until the birth ( with almost nothing ready for a newborn) of the baby 10 days later her super imposed pre eclampsia got the best of her and they had to perform an emergency c-section and out came a beautiful baby boy 3lbs 1oz and considering everything he was fairly healthy….. or so we thought!
That was just the beginning of this crazy roller coaster of events!
Niko had feeding issues he was aspirating and had to be intubated he couldn’t tolerate the breast milk then we tried several formulas still no luck now he was severely dehydrated and needed to see a GI specialist so at 6 weeks old off to being transferred to another hospital hours away all the while moms having her own issues with her wound opening up and needing a wound vac on her making everything more complicated.
Finally he was doing better and on the road to coming home after the new drs “fixed” him. We all scrambled to make sure She had everything she needed to bring her beautiful bundle of joy (miracle baby) home., all set for discharge on Saturday then….. WHAM Friday morning the hospital called and he’s having issues with feedings/tolerance again! He has to go NPO and back to square one! Finally they tell us the diagnosis he has NEC
What Is Necrotizing Enterocolitis? Necrotizing enterocolitis (nek-roh-TIE-zing en-ter-oh-coh-LIE-tis), or NEC, is the most common and serious intestinal disease among premature babies. It happens when tissue in the small or large intestine is injured or inflamed,… our worst fears…. Along with a hernia he now needs to be monitored labs X-rays and only gets nutrients intravenously.
That’s where we are today we are staying positive and are trying to get him the best possible healthcare, all while Anna is staying at a motel near the hospital or couch surfing to save a Buck so she can be there for any and everything.
Im sure u can only imagine the financial strain this has been since she’s been out of work since mid feb. And lost a lot of work 6 months prior due to health issues.
She is still under drs care herself and will be for a while yet, and we are at a loss for what’s to come right now we are POSSIBLY looking to transfer him to a better hospital that’s more equipped to deal with his condition and that may be in another state but for now we are asking just for a little help to relieve some of the financial burden of gas, lodgings , food and baby supplies and so much more to be concerned with.
so if u can help with $5 or a prayer or even just sharing this on social media it’s all so greatly appreciated!
we are thankful to those that have already helped out and we tried to avoid this route but the time is here and now that our family has to reach out and ask for our “village” to help!
Thank you a million times over!
