Help Annalee Provide Care in Ecuador

Hi everybody! My name is Annalee Turner, and I am finishing my first year in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Samford University. This summer, I get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to the rainforests of Ecuador and provide free physical therapy to underserved communities for a week. Not only do I get the chance to apply what I’ve learned so far in school, but I also get the chance to minister to my patients with my fellow students and faculty. This opportunity - and the emphasis that the program places on service learning - is one of the main reasons that I chose Samford. Our department’s mission statement is 1 Peter 4:10, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
