Help Annabelle Fight Encephalitis and Find Her Way Back to Her Babies

Our family is living through a nightmare we never imagined.

Annabelle — our sister, daughter, friend, devoted mother, and loving partner — is currently in a medically induced coma and is being treated for autoimmune encephalitis, a severe and life-threatening condition where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the brain, causing dangerous inflammation and swelling.

In simple terms, her own body is fighting against her brain instead of protecting it.

Everything happened so fast.

One moment she was being the strong, loving, dependable woman we all know… and the next, she was fighting for her life in the ICU.

Annabelle is truly one of a kind. She has the biggest heart of anyone you’ll ever meet. She is passionate about her family and would do absolutely anything for the people she loves. If you know her, you know she is the first to show up when someone needs help. The first to offer support. The first to put others before herself.

She shares a beautiful life with her loving partner, Dylan, who has not left her side. Dylan has been a constant source of strength — sitting with her, advocating for her, and holding their family together while facing the unimaginable. The weight he is carrying right now is beyond words.

Together, they are raising three beautiful children who need their mum more than ever:

• Ryder, 5

Abbie and Riley are old enough to understand how serious this is — old enough to feel the fear and uncertainty each day brings. And little Ryder, just 5 years old, keeps asking when mummy is coming home. No child should have to face this.

They need her hugs, her laughter, her guidance, and her fierce love. Our hearts break for them.

Right now, Annabelle remains under intensive care as doctors continue treating her autoimmune encephalitis and monitoring her closely. Even when she wakes, her journey will be long, painful, and uncertain. Recovery from autoimmune encephalitis often requires aggressive immune treatments, extensive rehabilitation, therapy, and ongoing neurological care. There will be possible medical equipment required, specialist treatments, lost income, and the daily expenses of raising three children.

The financial weight of this sudden crisis is overwhelming, and we cannot do it alone.
