Support Anna Ribich With Her Fight Against Cancer

As many of you know, in early October 2018, Anna saw her primary care physician for a lump on the left side of her neck. Following that appointment, Anna has undergone multiple medical appointments, CT Scans, PET scans and surgeries, unfortunately confirming cancer - Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Although the 5 year survival rate for stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma is about 90%, Anna still has a long road ahead of her to fight this battle.
Anna’s chemo treatments began in November. Since then, she has had an excellent response to the treatment. However, cancer activity still remains in her anterior chest and left neck, resulting in the need for additional chemo treatments until Mid-February 2019. She will then have another PET scan to determine if more chemo or possible radiation is needed.
Anna continues to fight this battle head on, with an amazing positive attitude, regardless of the side effects she is experiencing from the chemo treatment. She is a senior at St. Scholastica and determined to graduate in May. Her positive attitude and determination has played a role in her ability to continue school throughout her treatment, even when not feeling well. Upon graduation, Anna plans to apply to graduate school in the Fall, again showing how determined and strong she is!
Anna has medical insurance but everything is not covered. She has deductibles, copays, and other miscellaneous out-of-pocket medical expenses. Anna’s parents, Chris & Laura, will continue to ensure that Anna is receiving the treatment she needs, regardless of cost.
