Anna and I have been friends since our sophomore year at Woodinville High School, and our bond has only grown stronger over the years. After high school, we went to rival colleges—Anna attended WSU while I went to UW—but that never kept us apart. Our families have shared countless memories together, from cheering on Applecup football games to weddings and birthdays, all the way back to when we were just 15.

Anna has been living with Polycystic Kidney Disease for over 26 years. Recently, her condition has reached a point where she will need to go on dialysis soon unless she receives a kidney transplant. Anna is blood type O, which means her donor options are limited. Thankfully, I am also blood type O and have two healthy kidneys. After much prayer and many conversations with my family, I knew I wanted to help Anna by becoming her donor.

This fundraiser will help cover the costs of travel to and from Seattle, up to two weeks of hotel stays, meals while we are there, lost wages, and any medical expenses not covered by insurance. With this transplant, Anna can avoid dialysis and look forward to a healthy life. Your support will help us focus on recovery and the future, and we are deeply grateful for any help you can give.
