Help Anna Preserve Her Identity During Chemo

Anna’s Fight: Surgery, Healing, and What’s Next

Anna has already been through so much — a total scapulectomy and radial resection that left her arm disabled, followed by 7 weeks of high-intensity radiation (33 fractions, 66 gray). She’s now in the middle of chemotherapy, and the road hasn’t been easy.

In July alone, Anna landed in the ER four times. The last visit led to urgent surgery: her clavicle had begun protruding through her skin, and infection was a serious risk. She made it through surgery successfully and is now healing, but the fight isn’t over.

Anna will be on a long course of antibiotics (6 weeks) to keep the infection under control. Once she’s recovered enough, chemo will start up again within the next week or so — a balancing act between treating her cancer and protecting her from infection.

Through all of this, your support has meant more than words. Donations have helped us keep the bills paid, start Anna’s custom wig (which is now in progress and will be about 21” long thanks to supplemental donations of hair), and stay afloat while I’ve had to step away from work to be her caregiver and advocate full-time.

We’re updating this fundraiser to reflect where things are now. Every contribution helps us not just prepare for the future, but survive the present.

Thank you for walking this with us. Your support — donations, shares, kind words — is the reason we can keep pushing forward.
