After a summer of not feeling well and multiple trips to the doctor with inaccurate diagnosis and treatments, Anna finally received the needed tests in the emergency room on October 6. The CT scan showed a ruptured aneurysm in her aorta and was rushed into emergency open heart surgery. Had we not been in the ER that night, Anna would not have made it another day as it turned out her heart valve had been leaking for some time.
The surgery went well and recovery is underway. Anna’s aorta was repaired and one of her heart valves replaced. Each day gets better and better for Anna, but there is still some pain and discomfort as she heals from the surgery. It will take months of cardiac rehabilitation before she is fully recovered. We are greatly looking forward to that day.
We wanted to start this go fund me for those who have offered to help financially, and for those who are able to and would like to still. Please also consider sharing this within your networks. Any assistance is greatly appreciated, thank you!
