Help Anna Expand Their Inclusive Hair Studio

Hey there I’m Anna Mopchopper, an Ypsi local hairdresser who specializes in gender affirming haircuts.

I’ve been operating my business out of my home for about four years now and it’s outgrowing me every day. I believe I’m so busy not just because of my dazzling personality and sweet cuts, but because I provide a safe and comfortable environment for clients and I prioritize affordable rates, operating on a sliding scale. People always ask me why I continue to accept new clients despite my insane schedule, and I tell them that I believe everyone should have access to a haircut that makes them feel confident in themselves in a more than welcoming environment. As a part of the lgbtq+ community, I know that options are limited.

I am humbly starting this fundraiser in an attempt to raise funds so that I can expand my business and have the ability to operate on a larger scale while being able to maintain my current pricing without absolutely breaking my back. A larger space means employing more of the queer community, being able to reach a larger client base, helping my mental health by getting me back into a routine outside of my house, and being able to focus less on cutting hair and more on how I can give back to my community. Start up costs for a hair studio aren’t cheap and I am at a point where I’ve decided to ask for help achieving this dream. I am already scouting queer stylists to hire and have my eye on a gorgeous studio space. I am really hoping to achieve this goal by the beginning of next year.
