Anna Allstatt is a dear friend who is facing an unimaginable season of grief and change. On August 29, Anna married her husband, Riley. Just 12 days later, on September 10, Riley tragically lost his life due to an accidental weapon discharge in the armory while stationed as a Marine at the 29 Palms base. Now, while carrying Riley’s child, Anna has had to leave behind the life they had just begun and move back home to Fairfield, Idaho. In the middle of this heartbreak, Whispering Sands Horse Sanctuary generously donated a horse to Anna after seeing the strong bond they formed and believing that this horse can be a source of comfort, healing, and companionship as Anna walks through this painful loss.

This fundraiser is to help Anna bring that horse home from 29 Palms to Fairfield, a journey of roughly 800 miles, and to support the ongoing care that comes with giving the horse a safe and stable home. Donations will help cover transportation, feed, and other continuing expenses involved in horse ownership.
