Ana has been my housekeeper for four years and became family. She was also a caregiver to me through my own times of immobility and multiple surgeries.
She exudes kindness, loyalty, and true goodness. Ana works six days a week and spends her day off at church.
Ana just returned after taking two weeks off to go to El Salvador to sort her brother’s affairs after his recent passing. Upon returning for much-needed work, she suffered a serious fall (in her 60’s), severely injuring her shoulder.
She needed an ambulance, ER care, and a hospital visit, and surgery is TBD in the weeks ahead. She now faces medical bills, pain, and will be unable to clean homes for the foreseeable future.
Ana also lives with and cares for her sister, who suffered a devastating stroke in recent years that left her unable to speak. Ana devoted herself to helping her recover and slowly regain independence. She has even brings her sister along to cleaning jobs by allowing her to shadow and rebuild confidence while learning independence again.
With Ana injured, her sister is also unable to continue earning.
If you are able, any amount helps, and no amount is too small.
Let’s remind Ana that kindness and showing up for others truly does come back around.
Thank you so much for your generosity and prayers are equally appreciated!
