Help Ann with Rx and Housing

Let me tell you about two sisters who really care about each other. Ann has Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and Peripheral Neuropathy. Ann lost her job and health benefits earlier this year. She's limited in what work she can do because of her illnesses, but she's just found a temp job that hopefully will go full-time in 2022.   

 

Because she was getting unemployment, Ann didn't qualify for Medicaid. With the temp job, she qualifies but benefits don't start right away, and neither does her temp job's paycheck-- she will have absolutely no income for a few weeks, and what she gets will not be a lot.

 

Lisa has been sharing every extra penny she has to help her sister Ann, and is barely scraping by. Every day she spends hours contacting non-profits, checking into copay card/prescription assistance programs like ScriptHero, filling out forms and desperately trying to help Ann. But area resources are spread thin and backlogged. Ann applied for rent assistance in August and just heard back today with instructions to fill out more forms. They've called the Mayor's office, every program, every place-- they are standing on the brink and looking down.

 

Ann and Lisa worry all day, every day. They are exhausted, overwhelmed, discouraged... but they are not giving up. They are kind, wonderful women, so their friends are helping. But Ann doesn't have $700 to pay for her prescriptions and she is in danger of losing her apartment. We need to help -- not with suggestions about another program to contact, but with cash to get Ann through the next 2 months. They need our help now.

 

I have been trying to figure out how to help Ann and Lisa. I've looked around my place, wondering if I have anything I can sell? But they need help NOW so she can get her medication-- if you don't know anything about RA or Peripheral Neuropathy be glad that you don't have it. Imagine someone you love going through life with health problems and not being able to help them.

 

Please help these women. Help Ann get the medication she needs to refill THIS WEEK to live her life, and help with rent so she isn't living on the brink disaster. Help her until she can get back on her feet. Help Lisa sleep at night.

UPDATE:  The temp job was cancelled so she is still out of work and looking for an accounting position.
