I’m Ann, and I’m starting this fundraiser for myself after a very long journey of hardship, grief, and faith. Twenty-two years ago, a car accident changed my life and left me living with a traumatic brain injury and disability. Since then, I have done my best to keep going through seasons that felt blocked, delayed, and painfully hard. I lost my beloved aunt in 2016, and in 2021 I lost my fiancé to addiction during the pandemic. After that loss, I also had to face identity theft and damage connected to what was left behind. I went through a flood that destroyed most of my belongings, and then I lost my father to cancer in 2024. In the middle of all of this, I kept praying, studying, and holding onto my faith. Even through deep grief and setbacks, I have continued working toward my master’s degree and rebuilding my life one step at a time.
Now I am preparing for an upcoming surgery, and I feel that I am stepping into a new chapter of healing and restoration. I feel deeply led to travel to Israel and visit the Holy Land, hopefully in March 2026 after I recover. This trip is not simply travel to me. It represents physical, emotional, and spiritual renewal after 22 years of enduring so much. I have discovered Jewish roots in my family, studied the Hebrew aleph-bet and Psalm 119, and felt a strong calling in my heart to walk this path of faith in person. When the Feast of Tabernacles was happening this fall, I watched online from Jerusalem and felt a deep knowing in my spirit that I needed to be there next year. Your support will help cover the travel costs for this long-awaited journey to Israel and make this meaningful step possible as I move forward after surgery.
If you feel led to help, I would be deeply grateful for any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser with others. After years of loss, delay, and rebuilding, I am asking for help to step into this next season of healing, freedom, and restoration. Thank you for believing in me, praying for me, and helping me move toward this long-awaited dream.
