Help Ann Fight Multiple Myeloma
Donation protected
Dear Facebook Family and Friends,
My family and I are in need of your prayers and support. My mother Ann Ingraham has Multiple Myeloma. It is a blood cancer, which develops in plasma cells — white blood cells that grow in bone marrow. This cancer causes lytic lesions (holes) in the bones.
My mom went into remission five years ago after extensive treatment, but unfortunately her Multiple Myeloma has relapsed. To attack this aggressively, her doctor put her on a new chemo treatment that requires her to stay in Florida for an extended period of time.
As our family is trying to process this and prepare to help mom fight, her insurance company told her she has reached her million dollar maximum of coverage and basically dropped her. How does an insurance company basically say, “Go die?” They have turned their backs on us. Now, our family is stuck paying out of pocket! I almost passed out when the lady over the phone said mom’s new treatment is $263,000 for eight infusion treatments and that’s just the first round of treatment! Oh and by the way, it needs to be paid in full before her second infusion! Where is the compassion and willingness to work with people? Everyone is out for themselves but the patients!
I’m humbly asking you for a kind donation to support my mom as she fights for her life once again! God has brought her this far and I know he will not leave her! Please pray the insurance company would honor our request of extending mom’s policy. God has the power to make the impossible possible!
We thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement because that’s what will help us cope as we endure this difficult journey that lies ahead.
