Help Ann and Renee rebuild a new home
In the early morning of June 24th, Ann, 90-years-old and suffering from advanced dementia, and her daughter, caretaker, Renee Caserta, woke to the horrific sound of their condo building collapsing around them. Renee, a cancer survivor, partially opened the front door to find the hallway collapsed and the sounds of her neighbor’s crys for help.
She gathered some medication and medical supplies for Ann and waited for help to arrive. It came in the form of a fireman in a cherry picker. The selfless fireman jumped onto the balcony, went into the bedroom to pick up Ann, and placed her in the bucket. Renee followed with her dog faithful dog Rigatoni but had to leave behind her beloved cat Coco.
Ann and Renee have lost their home and necessities such as a wheelchair for Ann. They need help to cover the cost of assisting with Ann’s disabilities and rebuilding their lives.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone for making the lives of those in need just a little bit better in any way possible.
