Help Amma's daughter Meiko ❤
A group of Amma devotees in the Pacific Northwest met Meiko through an online journal writing satsang inspired by Amma's teachings in 2020. Meiko captured our hearts with her wisdom, beauty and gift for writing. Soon Meiko let us know she was in treatment for breast cancer. She is currently receiving treatment for cancer in Arizona and looking for a home to heal in. She needs our love, prayers and financial support right now.
Our love for Amma and Her teachings and our love for Meiko have guided us to start this gofundme to raise funds. Meiko is a Mother too and her children need her. If you know her or have anything to offer, please contribute to help her healing journey. She is in need of a home and a place to heal. Thank you for your help!
Jai Ma!! ❤
Message from our journal satsang leader Savitri:
We are an Amma journaling group, writing about how Amma guides us in our daily lives. Meiko is our dear Amma sister in that group, a gifted writer. We hadn’t heard from Meiko in a long time and now we find out why—her breast cancer has spread through her body. She shyly tells us, Yes, I do need help. I need money and my most immediate need is a place to live safe and sound where I can recuperate. I have a lot of tears right now... The deepest parts of my body are being reformed and I feel my body striving to live and adjust.
To give you an idea of Meiko’s beautiful spirit, here is a poem she wrote and shared with our journaling group:
Meiko's Poem
I like to imagine Amma proud of me. We take walks together. One walk is a bridge for a train that runs over a strong river. The bridge is out of service, and we walk as far as we can safely. I feel the same feeling on those walks as I do now, this is a journey of the heart.
My very own reclamation project.
Once I reclaim myself,
I will find I am sovereign on the land.
I will actualize the within, without.
Seeding, greening, revitalizing,
Nourishing, Loving, laughing.
I love my life. Thank you Amma you’ve helped me return to this planet.
After so long…you are still here.
Your starry crown is the living promise at the center of my Bhakti.
Meiko's most recent message to us:
Here is Meiko’s most recent message to us after we reached out to her, letting us know she’s not well, not well at all:
Receiving care for my breast cancer. I tried radiation, and as I always knew, it is not something my body is able to heal with. The cancer is all over my body.
So yes, I do need help. I need money and my most immediate need is a place to live safe and sound where I can recuperate. I have a lot of tears right now... The deepest parts of my body are being reformed and I feel my body striving to live and adjust.
I have extremely high faith in recovery, but right now my need it is that I have no place to live outside of the hospital. The nice coordinators are trying to find me a place to go. Transitional or hospice.
I do feel Amma and I'm asking Her to come. I'm in touch with the Sedona Amma Satsang. Because, unfortunately the housing I had secured changed very bad situation. Amma didn't want me in it. So, I am wayward at the moment. And in hospital but being treated well so kindly. I am very low energy but thank you for the email. The money is definitely a problem coming right now. I had a mishap with a person who supported me in a Facebook crowdfund— he took the $800 he had raised in my name. The pain and meds they have me on are really intense, so I apologize for dipping out this afternoon, maybe I'll be more communication tomorrow.
A PRAYER FROM ONE OF OUR JOURNALING SISTERS SASHWATI ❤
Let’s see Meiko in remission, completely healed and glowing with beautiful inner Light. Let’s visualize Amma by her bedside ministering to her every need. In the last 2 weeks or so, I have been moved to pray for her daily. So even without knowing exactly what was going on, was guided to pray for her complete healing. (And also Jaganmayi) Prayer is so powerful; we can certainly help from this angle. ❤️ I’ve received requests from the Seattle Satsang regarding devotees who were needing prayers. Perhaps we could contact them and Vandya from Olypen Satsang and request prayers for Meiko too. The power of prayer is immense! Miracles can happen. Love you all! ❤️❤️
MEIKO'S MUST RECENT UPDATE:
Meiko: The biggest issue now is getting me back to Oregon Because here in AZ there is no funding or insurance for my care outside of the hospital. I am too weak to travel.alonr
And because of what happened with the person in Sedona I have no help to transfer to a plane or any place to stay but this hospital and they want me.out of here because I have refused further treatments
I need help by plane or train with a person who can travel.with me to Oregon
NOTE: immediately after Meiko reached out to the Sedona satsang, a devotee came forward and can give her temporary housing and food.
