This is Anmarie. A gentle, kind, steady presence in the lives of little ones. She cares for them with patience and love, including my granddaughter Aminah “Mina”. Her smile lights up every room she walks into.

But on October 28, 2025, everything changed.

Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica with the force of a Category 5 storm, the strongest the island has ever seen. Winds roared through neighborhoods. Homes were torn apart. Entire communities were swallowed by water. Families watched their lives disappear in a single night.

Anmaries home was one of those lost. Her family lived there. Everything they owned, every memory they cherished, was reduced to debris and silence.

by the end of December she will fly back to Jamaica. Not to rest, but to rebuild. To stand with her family as they face a future with no home, no resources, and no certainty.

When she asked for help, I felt something rise in me. A pull. A leading from God to do more than simply offer sympathy. I felt called to lift some of the weight from her shoulders.

I want to send Anmarie home with a laptop and or Starlink she desperately needs, something that will allow her and others to STAY CONNECTED and begin rebuilding their lives. I also want to help cover her family’s immediate needs in Jamaica and her bills here in the United States while she is gone serving the people she loves “Her family”.

If your heart is stirred, even a little, your gift can make a real difference. If you cannot give, sharing her story or praying for her and her family matters more than you know.

Together we can bring hope back into the life of a woman and a family who lost everything.

I need your help.
Thank you
Jessica
