Hi, my name is Markie, and I’m the mom of a bright, loving, courageous 5-year-old little girl named Anja. Many of you already know her story — she lives with a rare brain condition called Hypothalamic Hamartoma (HH). This condition causes sudden emotional outbursts, seizures, behavioral dysregulation, and daily challenges that no child should have to fight through.

After months of medical appointments, evaluations, and advocacy, we finally received an answer:

Anja has been approved for a life-changing surgery in Texas.

This procedure offers her the best chance at a safer, happier, more stable future.

⏰ Timeline

We must travel to Texas and stay there for approximately 30 days. The surgery for December was cancelled due to insurance. We finally have approval for all procedures and is scheduled to begin on March 12, and her Post op appointment is April 14. The actual surgery is on April 3rd.
