Hello everyone! My name is Aniya. I'm a first-generation, fourth-year Radio Television Film major/African diaspora minor at The University of Texas at Austin. I'm graduating this May, and I was fortunate enough to be accepted into the UTLA program for this summer following graduation. This program emerges students into the entertainment industry by taking classes and interning in Los Angeles, California where they gain insight into what their future careers may look like.

 

While I was blessed with receiving a scholarship to participate in this program, it only covers the program fee and deposit. I'll be covering tuition myself and I do plan on working as well but I anticipate needing extra help. The funds raised will go towards my housing and transportation costs. The estimated costs of housing and transportation, given to us by the UTLA program, was a little over $5,000. I'm so excited about the networking and learning opportunities I'll gain this summer and can't wait to see how they'll transfer over into my adult career. I recognize this is a huge ask, especially with so much occurring in our world right now. All contributions and shares are greatly appreciated. Bless.
