In June 2024, Anita was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive bile duct cancer. Since that day she has faced major liver surgery, round after round of chemotherapy, radiofrequency ablation, and radiation. Through every painful treatment she has remained gentle and strong. Still the cancer has continued to advance inside her liver. She has lost a devastating amount of weight and now fights constant nausea, repeated infections, deep fatigue, and pain every single day.

Anita is a 47-year-old devoted teacher and the loving mother of an 8-year-old daughter who lights up her world. Two years ago, while heading home from work, she stopped for a simple ultrasound to check a kidney stone. That ordinary appointment uncovered something far more serious in her liver and quietly turned her family’s life upside down.

For two long years her family has carried the full weight of her medical care on their own. They sold their car, sacrificed their business, and used everything they had, holding on to the hope that each new treatment would finally bring her peace. They never asked anyone for help until now. That hope now rests on targeted therapy and immunotherapy.

Targeted therapy is a newer type of cancer treatment that works differently from traditional chemotherapy. Instead of attacking all fast-growing cells in the body, it is designed to identify and block specific changes or mutations inside the cancer cells that help them grow and spread. Immunotherapy works by helping Anita’s own immune system recognize and fight the cancer more effectively. Both approaches are more precise than standard chemotherapy and offer her the best remaining chance to control the disease and spend more time with her little girl.

These advanced treatments are extremely expensive. The monthly cost of targeted therapy or immunotherapy often ranges from $1,500 to $3,000 or more. In addition to the medicines themselves, Anita will need regular hospital visits, blood tests, infection management, nutritional support, and other supportive care. The family is seeking to raise $50,000 to cover several months of treatment and essential medical care. This amount is far beyond what they can manage alone after already giving up so much.

Your support will help provide:
- Targeted therapy and immunotherapy medicines and related treatment costs
- Hospital care, antibiotics, and relief from her symptoms
- Nutritional support to help her regain strength

Anita has met every hardship with quiet courage and grace. She is not only fighting for her own life. She is fighting to stay here for her daughter, to watch her grow, to hold her, and to continue being the mother her child needs. Even the smallest donation, and every time you share this campaign, carries real hope to a mother who has already given everything she has.

Thank you for standing beside Anita and her family when they need it most.
